The very famous luxury brand YVES SAINT LAURENT
Created in 1961, after leaving the House of Dior, the designer Yves Saint Laurent wanted to found a fashion house with Pierre Bergé: The House of Yves Saint Laurent was born and became one of the most important fashion houses of the 20th century. Today it belongs to the Kering group.
In 1962, his first couture collection highlighting the contrasts of man (masculine, feminine, the nerd, the uncultured ...) is presented and receives great success with the birth of iconic pieces:
- The mondrian dress
- The tuxedo
- The safari jacket
Monogrammed leather bag "Loulou": made of smooth black calf leather and signature chevron quilting, this bag highlights the rock and glamorous spirit of Saint Laurent.
Inspired by the androgynous fashion of his time, and by taking masculine silhouettes and transforming them into women's clothing, Yves Saint Laurent allowed for the emancipation of women to dress in new and daring ways. For him, femininity is defined behind free and daring attractions.
With his high-end clothing creations with classic and timeless codes, he revolutionized the link between society and fashion and established himself as one of the most recognized personalities and designers of his time. Today, Saint Laurent adapts to new generations and advocates new visions of freedom.
