Dark green curved setamer trunk
• with its jewelry (lock, clasps, brackets, centering pins, nails, etc.) in brass
• Poplar shell and beech slats
• Newly lined interior
The journey of the trunks tells us the whole story of the years 1850 to 1920. The curved trunks were manufactured in Alsace, Germany and Eastern Europe.
The bending was made with thin wood (poplar, since it "can bend"), about 5-8mm, in an oven: heat and water vapor
The trunk mail is a type of format and the blog article tells us about it in detail
